Bio
Koshiro Torisu (a.k.a. torisukoshiro) is a graphic designer, illustrator and animator
who was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1973 and graduated
with an Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Visual Communications
from The Art Institute of Seattle in 1998.
Since 1998 he has produced limited edition posters,
postcards and T-shirts for such client as Librairie du Palais de Tokyo,
Centre Pompidou, Deutsche Guggeheim Berlin, The New Museum of Contemporary Art New York
and various retailers in Tokyo, Paris, Sydney and London.
10 different design limited edition posters and postcards
were donated to The Rare Book Department of The National Library of France
(Bibliothteque nationale de France Resrve des livres rares)
He has done commercial work for Liberation, Green Peace, Seagate, Siemens, MTV Asia,
Excite Japan, Panasonic, Bandai, Mistubishi Paper Mills, Shift Japan and Die Gestalten
Verlag.
His animation work has received awards from and publication including Etapes, Liberation,
Macromedia Japan, Resfest Japan, So-en (装苑), NHK, Festival International du Film de L'Internet (FIFI),
The Electronic Language International Festival (FILE) and BBC.
